General Rules Of The School

• To acquire greater facility in the study of English, English only should be spoken in the school premises.

• No magazines, papers or books other than text books may be brought to the school without the permission of the Principal. Parcels and letters to the students are subjects to inspection, before handing over to the students.

• Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. Ornaments and jewellery of any kind are not allowed in the school. To prevent loss of articles, umbrellas, raincoats, tiffin- carriers, water- carriers etc. should be marked with the name of the child.

• Irregular attendance, habitual want of application, insubordination any kind of cheating or serious misconduct, even outside the school premises or any habit or behavior objectionable to the good name of the school are sufficient for the dismissal of a pupil.

• Parents and guardians are not allowed to visit their children or interview teachers during school hours without the permission of the Principal/Vice Principal.

• No pupil will abstain from physical exercise without the doctor's certificate.

• The school does not recognize student's unions; nor any union activities permitted at any time within the school premises.

• The school accepts no responsibility if though failure to wear the school uniform or to bring books to the class or to produce the signature of parents on remarks written by teachers in the absence record of the calendar etc. the pupil is obliged to held responsible if anything untoward happens when a student is sent home for the above reasons.

• The school cannot be held responsible for accidents small or serious, to pupils during their stay in the school or while taking part in sports and other co-curricular activities within or outside the school premises.

• Parents/ Guardians are expected to make proper arrangements to collect the children immediately after the classes. Though proper care will be taken to ensure the safety of the children, the school cannot be held responsible if the student leaves the school campus on his/her own accord.

• Any misbehavior of a serious nature has become public knowledge is liable to bring about suspension or dismissal even though it took place at the school premises.

• Smoking and chewing betel nuts are strictly forbidden and those found guilty are immediate dismissal.

• Stealing and forging of signature are serious faults and any boy/girl found guilty is liable to immediate dismissal.

• Pupils are strictly forbidden to introduce objectionable literature in the school. Parcels and letters addressed to the students are subject to inspection.

• Each student is personally responsible for keeping the school clean and taking care of the furniture.

• The culture and co-curricular activities of the school are conducted through House system. Hence, all students are obliged to take part in it.

Examination & Promotion

• Promotion depends on the child's performance throughout the years and not merely on marks scored in the final examination.

• Anyone found using unfair means in examination will be debarred from further examination and will be declared to have failed, and the case of promotion examination he/she will be expelled from the school.

• No students will be allowed to repeat the same class for a third time. A student who fails twice in three consecutive years is considered as withdrawn from the school.

• No pupil will be allowed to sit for the promotion examination if the attendance during the year is below 85%. A student must obtain 40% marks in all subjects.

• For the purpose of evaluation, the school will conduct two unit tests. The marks of these unit tests will be distributed accordingly under unit test in the report card as per SEBA rule.
